BUILDING MATERIALS

Some of the materials we use and common jobs that call for them

BRICK

Typically bricks are stacked together, or laid as brickwork using various kinds of mortar to hold the bricks together and make a permanent structure. They are one of the longest lasting and strongest building materials used throughout history.

DRY STONE

Dry stone is a building method by which structures are constructed from stones without any mortar to bind them together. Dry stone structures are stable because of their unique construction method, which is characterized by the presence of a load-bearing façade of carefully selected interlocking stones.

CONCRETE

Cinder and concrete blocks typically have much lower water absorption rates than brick. They often are used as the structural core for veneered brick masonry or are used alone for the walls of factories, garages and other industrial-style buildings.
